Ladies and gentlemen!!
The Conference is the largest annual training-scientific event for psychiatrists in Poland. It has been appreciated by the medical society, which has a confirmation in the number of participants growing each year (in 2010 we had 1300 physicians participating). Since 2008 we have been inviting speakers and guests from the largest international scientific centres (e.g. from UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey).
18 hours of lectures and workshops. Some of the sessions will be organized paralelly. The participants will have a possibility to get CME credits. Thanks to an electronic registration of presence at sessions, the points will cover the actual participation in the activities.
We take care of a high meritoric and organizational level of the conference, which goes along with high evaluation scores among the participants and lecturers. During our conferences several sessions with the participation of international guests are held with English as official language. The simultaneous translation is provided. Information for the lecturers: The lectures will last 20-30 minutes.
The new element in 2011 will be an informational booklet about the English-speaking sessions, which will include the abstracts and a picture with a biographical note of the speakers. It will be sent out to the participants before the Conference. We are convinced that this kind of promotion will profit in a growing interest in international sessions.
We have applied to get the accreditation of The European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME) for English speaking sessions.
The Conference will be held in Wisła (www.wisla.pl). It is a picturesque town in Silesian Beskid, about 90 km from the airports in Katowice and Krakow. The meeting will be held in Hotel Gołębiewski (www.golebiewski.pl). The hotel has one of the largest conference centers in Southern Poland, which can host up to 2500 participants. After the lectures there is a possibility to use the Waterpark located in the hotel, as well as to visit the town of Wisła.
About the Organiser
The activity of Medforum is concentrated on the medical education targeted to professionals of health care system, as well as to patients and their families. The main fields of activity are the internet, training-scientific conferences and creation of specialist medical services and printed materials for physicians, and also for patients and their families.
We organize scientific meetings for physicians and internet trainings (e-CME). The largest annual events are: Diagnostics in neurology (24-26.03.2011), Liaison pediatrics (24-26.11.2011), Optimalisation of treatment in psychiatry (8-10.12.2011). Each of those conferences gathers about 1000 participants.
The Medforum services include specialist portals: Psychiatria.pl and ForumNeurologiczne.pl (CNS group), ForumGinekologiczne.pl, ForumPediatryczne.pl, ForumDermatologiczne.pl and Fozik.pl (“services for women”), as well as an educational portal e-CME for physicians: EdukacjaMedyczna.pl.
